SAO JOAQUIM NATIONAL PARK

The park is within the Atlantic Forest biome. It covers an area of forty eight,300 hectares (119,000 acres). It had been proven by decree on six July 1961, and it is administered with the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation.
